Have you every looked at that picture on Instagram or Pinterest, and thought “I really want this hair”? We all have! And here’s a few things you need to know.
It takes time. We cannot stress this enough. You may require several visits to the salon before you can get your desired result. It all depends on your current hair condition and what the stylist has to do to get you there. We are all different; some people may take less visits to achieve their desired result and some may take a little longer.
It takes money. We all want to save money, but is it really worth going for something cheaper and compromising its’ quality? It is not worth jumping right into it, without researching and having a thorough consultation with your stylist – you don’t want to end up paying more money on a colour correction, just to save money. A good stylist is going to be worth their price – it takes not just their time, but their products, the money they spent on improving their skills and training.
It takes a lot of care. There are many professional products out there, that can be used with or after your colour service to prevent damage and keep your hair looking its’ best. Always remember that bleached hair requires a lot of care, not just at the time of the service, but at home. A trim may go a long way!
Purple shampoo. To maintain your blonde you have to use a purple shampoo and conditioner. Purple shampoo distributes purple pigment to neutralise brassy, yellow tones. When using the purple shampoo, it corrects your hair’s hue restoring it to its former bright, cooler tone. Always listen to your stylist’s advise on which one is best to get and how often should you use it.
Lastly, we all know that us stylists are not magicians. If your hair is naturally dark or has been box dyed for a while, its likely that it will take some time and a lot of care to achieve your desired blonde; whereas others may be a little quicker. Please feel free to contact us to book for a complimentary consultation, and discuss what we can do for you!
